Staked Plains Roundup: JCA's First Field Trip!

We are SO excited!!!!
It is JCA's first EVER field trip day!!!!
And.... we're off!
I must introduce everyone to my first group of students. I taught these "boys" when we were all about ten years old when we "played school." I had on-the-job training with behaviorally-challenged students!
Our first event was at the NMJC arena to watch "Western Shooters."
They rode their horse and shot out balloons with pistols and rifles!
Authentic western shooters!
Then, on to see Brice Chapman and his incredible dog, Sooner!
He captured our attention for sure!
Sooner was SO much fun!
Hannah M. and Logan in a tug of war with Sooner!
Brice, Sooner, and all of us!
Tons of fun in the potato sack race!
Go Hannah R!
And then.......there was face painting!
Horseshoeing!!!!
Cute miniature ponies!
The original "bubba" teeth! LOVE this picture!
Oh.....Ms. Tammy.....how cute!
Next up.......branding!
Our very own brand!
How would it have been to have to pump our water every day????
Brice, Sooner, and Crossfire.....totally amazing!!!!
Very tricky!
Then, we learned how honey is made!
And...we found out how to churn butter.....and actually tasted fresh butter!
Time to saddle up!
Two in the saddle.......
And again!

We had a phenomenal time today! We all experienced, learned, and saw things we never had before! The Staked Plains Roundup was awesome! We will definitely go back again next year!
