Fire Drill Day at JCA!

Today was fire drill day! We evacuated the building in 20 seconds and were lined up in about 48 seconds!!! We are in the Knowles Fire Department district for fire drills. Chief McPeters was very impressed with our procedure!
Last Friday we shared about our uncles. "U" was the letter of the week, so one of our activities was to tell about a favorite uncle. The kids all really enjoyed talking about their uncles, and even did very well at answering questions! Ms. Corrina took pictures of each one as they shared their uncles with us. Emilia was absent that day, but she shared today. I'll add her picture tomorrow. (I'm not sure how to add it in right where I want it!)

Today was a terrific Tuesday! This week we are learning about letter "e". Elephant, eagle, and egg are just a few of the words that we discussed that start with "e".
We talked about the Bible story, Noah and the Ark. We learned that Noah was an obedient man, and that the rest of the people were acting really bad! We learned about the animals, two-by-two, Noah's family, and the FLOOD! We also learned about the rainbow.... God's promise to never flood the earth again!
Number "3" was important to us today.....we did a little counting and identifying numbers.
In science, we discussed how God gave us eyes to see and a nose to smell and sniff with! We can smell yummy things like food our moms cook and flowers that smell good. We can also smell not so yummy things like skunks.......and dog poo! (Oh, my!)
We had center time with computers and our file folders, and PE with Miss Sadie.... LOTS of hoola hoop activities!
We topped the day off with "Jesus, You're my Superhero" and "The Roundup!" It was a fantastic day!
