JCA Day 73 "J" is for JELLY!

We started working on the letter "J" today....
The cool thing about "J" is that JELLY starts with "J"!
We all got some grape jelly and some red plum jelly.......
Yummy!
And....then we all got some toast!!!
It was a little tricky spreading that jelly on our toast!
But we persevered and did it!!!
And, BOY! ......was it tasty!!!!

Bailie did a presentation today on Indians.....
We learned that the Osage Indians were originally from Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.
Next week, she's going to tell us about the Apache Indians!!!

Another BIG step we took today.......we started learning about the "long" vowel sounds.
We even began coding words!!!
It was truly amazing!

We also learned the Bible story about Joseph today. We learned how his brothers were jealous of him because his dad gave him a coat of many colors, and they were jealous because he could interpret dreams! His brothers threw him in a pit and told his dad that a wild animal must have gotten him. They even showed the dad the coat with blood on it!
We learned the story about how they sold him into slavery, but also how God delivered him and how he rose in leadership in Egypt!
We also talked about forgiveness and how he forgave his brothers for all they had done to him, and he also gave them food during the famine!
We learned how important it is that Jesus forgives us when we make a mistake, and how important it is that we forgive others, too!

Everyone said their jars from Friday with the snowflakes were successful!
They grew crystals! YEA!
