ZOO TO YOU!

We had a TREMENDOUS day on Thursday!

Zoo to You from Albuquerque came.....

They brought animals, animal skins, skulls, an ostrich egg,

turtle shells, rhino tusk, a KING SNAKE, and MUCH MORE!!!

Well.....just look at all the pictures!

We had a BLAST!!!

POWER TEAM!!!

This week the POWER TEAM came to JCA!!!

Kings Gate Academy joined us for a great performance!

Timber and Jamie from the Power Team spoke...

Blew up hot water balloons........

Broke SEVERAL bats SEVERAL different ways.........

Kadin and Brayden went for a spin.....

Sprite cans were crushed......

Shalee represented a "little" problem.....

Ty represented a "big" problem.....

This is how little problems develop into big problems.....

Jayden learned how to hang on to his dreams.....

We got autographs and got to shake their hands.....

The kids learned about making right choices,

saying "NO" to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, peer pressure...

and saying "YES" to God and his plan for our lives!

We learned that we need to have a goal and a dream,

and that we need to hold on tight to that dream!!!

ABSOLUTELY GREAT MESSAGE FOR US ALL TO HEAR!!!

This week at Power Up we talked about the fact that God

sees and knows what is in our hearts.

We are born with a sin nature..... We need to make

good choices to keep good things in our hearts!

God shines His light into our hearts!

We need to love one another and treat others

the way we want to be treated!

2nd & 3rd graders experiment with tasting roots, stems, leaves, & fruits!

Not everything tasted great!

But it was LOTS of fun.....

while learning how plants are used for food!!!

There were straight As, all Bs, and A/B honor roll awards....

as well as Hard Workers and Perfect Attendance!!!!

And then JCA sang "Hug Another Neck"!!!

The classes are also working on the Fruits of the Spirit...

Gal. 5:22-23

"But the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,

goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control.

Against such things there is no law."

We are studying one "fruit" per week and are learning that

as we learn more about God, these fruits influence and

impact our lives......

These fruits go hand in hand with us continuing to learn

about good behavior, good manners, and right choices!
